Thank You Senator Obama

For saying something that needed to be said after the last week.

Every single issue that he brought up there means a lot to people in this country. What you heard from Governor Palin and Senator McCain this week was partisan red meat. They say they want to change things, but they ignore important issues like health care and the economy–things that need to be fixed now. Not after they get done whatever it is they want to get done, but now.

This is Obama at his best–empathizing with people, talking about issues that matter, and laying out his policies in a conversational way. Obama off-prompter–maybe not as good as when he’s behind a podium, but what you heard there sounds more like straight talk than what the other guy is spouting. I think it’s a big step forward after the bloggers, the media, and basically everyone but the Obama campaign, decided to make the last 7 days “Let’s take the low road” week.
